IS 101 Experience

This course has been a great experience. Not only did I learn new things, but I also learned more about how putting the time and effort in order to pass. As I said before, this is the second time I have taken this course but this time I succeeded. I succeeded because of the hard work and effort I put into achieving a passing grade.
I would like to thank Professor Wu for everything he has taught me. I will truly be using these skills later in the future. Now I am one step closer to graduating!

Best CSN Professor

For a couple of weeks now, Professor Wu has spent his Friday afternoons helping me get caught up with IS101. With him leading me, I learned tons of new skills such as using the keyboard more than the mouse. The abundance of work that I have been receiving in my other courses has been taking up most of my time along with work. I have been going to CSN for two years now, and never has a professor cared about my academic success unlike Professor Wu.
Thank you Professor Wu, for everything you have done for this class. Without you, I would probably would have been left behind leaving me to retake the course for a third time. You are greatly appreciated.

College of Southern Nevada Student Services

At my time at College of Southern Nevada, I have had times when I had to take advantage of the wonderful benefits and knowledge that comes along with it. I have gone to tutoring for various classes and I definitely recommend it to any classmate. I recently gone to an Economics tutoring session. They helped me with all the problems I had and went through it step by step.
I also have recently talked to Financial Aid. They have been really helpful with my academic success and I recommend everyone to apply. My experience with Financial Aid has always been great when the application goes through smoothly.

Thanksgiving Fun

For Thanksgiving, I spent the day with my family. I saw family that I haven't seen in years since they live so far away. It felt good spending time with people you haven't seen in forever. The food was so delicious that I had two plates and took some home for later. Looking at everyone at the table, I saw the cousins I grew up with all grown up starting their own families. Time really flies quick and you don't even notice it.

This way I will be able to collect experience and after create my own business. All this will be accomplished through hard work and dedication.

Raffle Winner

While I was in California, I went to a raffle for shoes that was being hosted that weekend. Keep in mind these are no ordinary shoes. These shoes are only being released in one store that happened to be located in Los Angeles. My cousin and I both entered on Saturday. We then waited a few days and found out that we both won!
Now I have to drive back to California on Saturday to pick them up at the store. It is worth it to drive back because the shoes are selling for almost a thousand dollars! The shoes are called Union Jordan 1 Black Toes if you are curious.

Camp Flog Gnaw Aftermath

This weekend I experienced one of the best performances by Kanye West and Kid Cudi. The crowd was crazy and so were the vibes. The performance was so vivid that Kanye decided not to release his new album to have time to improve it to reach its full potential.
While I was there, I met a few famous people like Nakel Smith, Tyler the Creator, and Flatbush Zombies. I was shocked to have meet them because I've been knowing these people since I was about thirteen years old. I highly recommend visiting a music festival. It was such a great experience.

Camp Flog Gnaw

This weekend, I will be having a small weekend vacation with my cousin. We will be going to Los Angeles, California for a music festival called Camp Flog Gnaw at the Dodgers stadium. I am excited to see all the artist I have been listening to since I was beginning high school.
I've been looking forward to this since I have not had a vacation for about a year and a half. The stress I have built up from taking five courses and work has really caught up to me. I hope this trip goes well!

Family Breakfast

Today I spent time with my family by taking them out for breakfast. We went out to eat at a Blueberry Hill restaurant. I enjoyed spending time with them more than usual because my schedule has been very busy. It seems as everyone in my family are as busy as I am. I hardly ever see them when I get off work.
Most of the time I am either at work, school or doing homework. I am glad I could eat breakfast with my family this morning.

Halloween Day

The day of Halloween, I spent it with my family passing out candy. We also made a gathering for my cousin who turned 27. While passing out candy, I dressed up as Michael Myers and was hiding on the side of my house.
When people would knock on the door, I would sneak my way behind them and scared them. I made sure not to scare the little kids since it would've ruined their Halloween. I had a great time hearing those screams.

Halloween

This weekend I saw the new movie for Halloween starring one of the most iconic horror villains, Michael Myers. I expected a lot out of this movie, especially since it was one of my favorites growing up.
After the movie, I was quite disappointed. Instead of the movie scaring me, it made me laugh. Lots of scenes from the movie were expected. Although the movie didn't scare me in the moment, I did get paranoid at night. I looked out my window hoping Michael wasn't there after I watched the movie.

One Mans Trash Is Another Mans Treasure

This weekend before class, I happened to stop by a yard sale that my neighbors decided to have. I decided to check it out just to support and be a good neighbor. While I was looking through some of the stuff for sale, I stumbled upon a pair of shoes. These weren't any ordinary shoes, they were a pair of Jordans that released when I was two years old. The shoes were like brand new and I paid ten dollars for them.
Once I got back to my house, I did some research on these shoes. The shoes price range are from three to four hundred. I could not believe it and I am still shocked today.

Good Deed of the Week

While I was pulling into the parking lot of the school I work at, I noticed a group of kids surrounded in a circle. I went over to check what was going on and found they were surrounding this dog that was roaming around the area. Not knowing how long the dog had been out in the streets for, I took it to my classroom and gave it water and food.
The dog was lost in the streets and did not have a home. I asked around to see if anybody would like to take him home. Luckily, I found a coworker willing to take him home.

Week 3

This week I have four exams. Preparing for these exams has taken lots of time but I am more confident that I will succeed. Time management is the secret to passing all of these exams.  I am just looking forward to being done with these exams and take the weight off my shoulders.  These testing days could be hectic and stressful along with everything else occurring in my life. Now I know what people mean when they say life has its obstacles.

Work

I currently work as a special education teacher assistant at a middle school. Helping kids with disabilities is such a rewarding feeling due to the impact you have made in their lives. I am teaching kids in areas were they are having trouble in. I have been working with special education for about three years now.

Working in something you love doing does not feel like work. Instead, you are having fun and feel satisfied with every difference you make in a kids life.

First Impression at CSN

Fall of 2016 was the beginning to my higher education path in achieving a Bachelors Degree in Business.  I was not so sure how the road College of Southern Nevada had in store for me.  My whole life I have been told about college but never have I experienced it.  Not knowing how college would turn out, I start my classes and turns out I was prepared for it.  Lessons learned in high school used at CSN really improved my performance.

Now, I am one semester away towards achieving my Associates in Business.  The path has had its up and downs throughout the time but every path has its obstacles.  I did not imagine this would come so quickly.  Hard work and dedication will get the job done no matter what.
